Review of the Month:
“Our most memorable day in Vancouver was our 5 hour The Grand Tour “Vancouver Encompassed.” We were lucky enough to have Greg Armstrong-Morris lead our little pack of riders through, around and into this beautiful city. I have been to Vancouver several times but never had the opportunity to take this tour. Now, I wish I had on my first trip here.
Bikes, helmets, laughs, stunning views and a splash of exercise are included in this tour.
A few of our memories:
1. Ferry ride to Granville Island for lunch
2. Cool view of a beaver dam in Stanley Park
3. A walk/ride through the rainforest
4. Totem pole Park
5. Breathtaking waterfront views of the city
The ride was easy enough for everyone to keep up but challenging enough to enjoy ice cream later, sans guilt.
Thanks Greg for a great day, lots of laughs, plenty of interesting, knowledgeable and quirky facts…..and for ordering the gorgeous sunny day.
Kate and Tom.
PS…..when you take this tour, make sure and ask for Greg!” – Katherine L (October, 2015)
I've been to Vancouver 3 times before but never seen such a sampling of the city's culture, tastes, sights, and history.
Excellent showcase of Stanley Park and fabulous Canadian hospitality!
Ditch the tour bus - Cycle City tours is THE best way to tour and learn of the rich culture and evolution of this most excellent city.
Really recommend doing this tour to see the best parts of Vancouver. It is an easy flat enjoyable ride that anyone can do!
The guide did a masterful job of managing the differing pace of the group members, keeping the group together with well-timed stops. Lots of great information about the park as well as the city of Vancouver.
Where to stay and what to do in Vancouver
Whether you are tracking film locations or merely want to see the sights, why not hop on a bike? Vancouver is one of North America’s most cycle-friendly cities, with some 800 miles of bikeways. Go with a group on Cycle City Tours’ daily five-hour ride: explore the 1,000-acre Stanley Park, one of the world’s largest urban open spaces; ride the ferry to Granville Island and its market; see the Olympic Village, Chinatown and Gastown. Or do your own thing, using a self-guided tour map. Bike rental from £15 per half day. (cyclevancouver.com) [Read more]
Cycle City Tours’ New Tour of Vancouver’s Craft Beer Scene
Cycle City Tours, the Vancouver-based bike tour company, recently launched their Bikes x Beer x Brunch. The tour takes riders through some of Vancouver’s most historic neighborhoods with stops at three of the city’s newest breweries to sample craft beers and food pairings. On the tour, riders learn about how beer is brewed, meet some of the brewmasters, and find out how hard these breweries are working to keep their delicious beer on shelves. Of course, you also get to sample some of the brews along the way.
Vancouver Craft Beer Bicycle Tour guides cyclists through Postmark Brewing and more
As an increasing number of craft breweries and bike routes shape Vancouver, it was inevitable the two would eventually merge. Cycle City Tours, a local company that offers guided bicycle tours primarily aimed at visitors, is hoping to attract residents with its new Vancouver Craft Beer Bicycle Tour. The three-hour excursion, which made its debut run on June 27, operates every second Saturday through September, and it’s a fun way to check out some of the hottest additions to the craft-beer scene while getting some healthy exercise along the way. How very Vancouver!
