This Gastown hidden gem is located in the alley behind La Taqueria. The fully covered outdoor eatery features a shipping container bar and serves up authentic Mexican fare. *CLOSED IN WINTER

This Yaletown based restaurant caters to vegans who love to dine well. Executive Chef Chanthy Yen brings his unique spin to global dishes.
Known For:
Warm, floral dining setting. Internationally inspired flavours with locally sourced, house-made products. Elevated bar menu including zero-proof cocktails.

Serving up authentic Italian street-eats in the heart of Chinatown. The large interior is distinctly Italian with big comfy booths and a central long table, as well as streetside patio dining.

The perennial winner of “Best South East Asian Restaurant” awards in the heart of Chinatown. Casual family-style interior and basic service with authentic Vietnamese and Cambodian fare.
Known For:
Seriously addictive food, massive menu, and long lines (since before the Michelin Guide!).

Fable Kitchen
CANADIAN | 3.6KM
Created by Top Chef Canada Season Two competitor Trevor Bird, this farm-to-table restaurant serves up locally sourced meals in Kitsilano.
Known For:
Open kitchen, crowd-drawing brunches, partnering with local farms
What To Get:
For breakfast- Johnny cakes with pulled pork, Benedicts, Challah French Toast. For dinner- Short Rib with Polenta & Green Leeks
Kin Kao Song
THAI | 4KM
Located in vibrant Mount Pleasant, owner Terrance Feng serves “no holds barred Thai food”: experimental, without categories. They’re inspired as much by 5-star hotel food as they are street food.
Known For:
Bright, airy interior. Authentic Thai flavours with natural wines, unique cocktails, and local craft beer.

Vij’s
INDIAN | 4KM
Located near City Hall, this award-winning Vancouver mainstay continues to serve up delicious Indian food and unique cocktails to locals and visitors alike.
Known For:
Restaurant owner & namesake Vikram Vij is a celebrity in his own right. His dishes mix Indian influences with sustainable, local ingredients.

This Commercial Drive restaurant is run by chef Nguyen Thi Thanh, who hails from Saigon where she ran a successful food stall.

Greg & Antoine’s friendship started with a passion for pasta, wine, and food while working in local restaurants. Together, they launched this cozy Commercial Drive spot offering fresh handcrafted pasta based on local ingredients.

This Kensington area restaurant combines Italian & American BBQ for a uniquely delicious menu with Executive Chef Sean Reeve at the helm.
