Bike the night Vancouver

On September 15, over 5000 Vancouver residents and visitors will cover their bicycles in lights and head down to Concord Pacific Place to take place in the BC’s largest nighttime bicycle ride. Bike the Night, presented by Mountain Equipment Co-op, is a 10km slow roll through downtown Vancouver, offering participants the opportunity to experience some of Vancouver’s most iconic roadways in car-free comfort.

Inspired by Bogota’s ciclovia and other similar road closure events around the world, Bike the Night encourages riders of all ages and abilities to come out and enjoy their city streets in a whole new way. The family-friendly event takes place on mostly flat roads, and participants can expect the ride to take between 45 minutes to an hour.

Registration for the event is $15 (although riders under 16 are free), and the ticket price supports HUB Cycling, Vancouver’s largest bicycle advocacy organisation. Registration also includes entry to the Bike the Night pre-party, with a DJ, free bike tune-ups and decorating, food trucks, prize giveaways, and more.

If you’re in need of a bicycle for the event, we a large fleet of rental bikes at our Hornby Street and Burrard Street locations, check out our rentals page for more info on shop hours, rates, and locations.

Then head over to the event page to register for Bike the Night and get your glow sticks ready. We’ll see you there!
